You need a LIMS. Let’s cut to the chase…here are 3 reasons why you need a LIMS:
- If you’re a Pharma company that outsources drug manufacturing, particularly if you do business in India you sure do need a LIMS. With increasing FDA scrutiny, you need to make sure you can prove to the FDA that you’re compliant with the regulations and can prove that you have strict quality controls in place. If you don’t know where to find your data, you might be at risk with providing the kind of information the FDA needs and wants.
- Think about your future. As fast as laboratory requirements change, you need to prepare yourself to be a lab of the future. Considering that the lab of the future may be a virtual one with lots of data being held in the cloud, think about the kind of storage you’ll need in the future and how lab professionals will access that storage.
- Think about how much data you have now, and will have. How will you manage it all? Are you prepared to safeguard all that data? What is a catastrophic event happens? Can you get to your data? Can you protect all your specimens?
